How to Register

  1. Phone in:
    using AMEX, Mastercard or VISA to any of these centres
    • Oak Bay Recreation Centre: 250-595-7946

  2. In Person:
    You may pay by cash, cheque AMEX, Mastercard, VISA, Debit Card or use your Recreation Oak Bay Gift Card.
  3. Fax to 250-370-7127:
    • Course name, time, days and dates of program
    • Registrant’s name, date of birth, address and telephone number
    • Your AMEX, Mastercard or VISA number and expiry date
  4. By Mail:
    Please include the following information:
    • Course name, time, days and dates of program
    • Registrant’s name, date of birth, address and telephone number
    • Your AMEX, Mastercard or VISA number and expiry date or a separate cheque for each course (made out to the ‘Corporation of the District of Oak Bay’)
    • Mail to:

There will be a $20.00 NSF charge on all returned cheques.

Persons eligible for Social Services Subsidy must have authorization before time of registration.

Receipts will be mailed to you if requested.

For your convenience, Recreation Oak Bay will be implementing registration confirmations via email. Disclosure of your email address to Recreation Oak Bay is voluntary. Providing your email address to Recreation Oak Bay serves as authorization to send registration/rental confirmations and information regarding our programs and services to you.

Course Cancelation

Classes with insufficient registration will be cancelled and a full refund or credit will be issued. Don’t delay, register today!

Waitlist

Ask to have your name put on a waitlist, if a space becomes available we will call you.

Waitlists are called and you have until 7pm the following day to call back and register for the available spot.

Missed Start Date

Many programs allow late registration (if there is room). Fees will be adjusted for late registration.

Refunds/Credits

Programs 4 classes or more:

  • If for any reason you withdraw from a program which is 4 classes or more, prorated refunds or credits may be obtained if requested before the second class.
  • Refunds/credits requested for medical reasons must be submitted with a medical note prior to the end of the program.

Programs less than 4 classes:

  • If for any reason you withdraw from a program that is less than 4 classes, a credit or refund must be requested 72 hours before the program start.

All Registrations:

  • Please allow up to two weeks for a refund to be processed.
  • There will be a $5.50 administration charge applied to all refunds, unless accompanied by a medical note.
  • There will be no administration charge if a credit is left on your Recreation Oak Bay account.
