Swim Happenings...

Tuesday, January 6th - Saturday January 10th – SWIMMING LESSONS BEGIN – A new set of swimming lessons begins this week. To book, please call 595-SWIM
Tuesday January 20th, 5-6pm – STROKE CLINIC – A swimming instructor will be on deck to offer free stroke tips and correction to swimmers during the 5pm swim

Teen Skate - Fridays, 7:45-9:30pm
Winter Luau Skate - Sunday January 25th, Family Skate Noon-2:45pm; Everyone Welcome Skate 3-4:30pm. Come dressed in your best beach wear. Enjoy punch and Hawaiian music!

This seminar covers everything about healthy eating for energy, brains and brawn – foods to limit, foods to load up on and a look at healthy fast foods, beverages and supplements. This session is designed for those 12-17 years of age.

 Recognition Tree

With the redevelopment of the Oak Bay Recreation Centre, there is an opportunity to celebrate the people focus of the Recreation Centre and have an individual or organization's name show as a lasting legacy of support for this community facility. As part of the redevelopment, the new lobby features a stylized Recognition Tree that showcases the generosity of donors toward the newly renovated centre. Levels of Donation:

  • $100 - bronze leaf $250 - silver leaf $500 - gold leaf
  • $1000 - acorn $5000 - foundation stone

For donations of $100 or more, donors can have their names engraved on stylized leaves and receive an oak leaf lapel pin. All donations are tax deductible. Donations of less than $100 are welcome and tax receipts will be issued for all donations of over $10.

Where to donate: Donations may be made at the Reception desk at Henderson, Monterey, and Oak Bay Recreation Centre. Please note that donations are also being accepted at the Oak Bay Municipal Hall.
